SINGING IN THE CIENMA
Art depicts the culture of the land. Indian cinema proves it
very profoundly and precisely. The song and dance format of
Indian cinema not only depicts the culture of the land but attains
a very peculiar identity in world cinema.
IFA has conceived and produced a unique lecture / demonstration

'Singing in the Cinema' which depicts the real essence
of song and dance format of Indian cinema.
The programme is divided into two sessions:
The first session consists of a lecture which is supported
by song and dance sequences
from the very first talkie to the latest films, followed by
a question / answer session.
The second session begins with the screening of a seventy-minute

of the views expressed by stalwarts like filmmakers Yash Chopra,
